Paula Morcillo Martin-Romo

Paula Morcillo Martin-Romo (Research assistant)

Paula Morcillo graduated in Biotechnology from the University of Salamanca and with an MSc in Translational Research & Personalized Medicine from the University of Granada. Her academic and research background is in preclinical oncology, with a particular focus on the tumor microenvironment, cancer cell biology, and the evaluation of novel therapeutic strategies.
She has joined the group as Research Assistant. Her current research focuses on developing a controllable gene therapy approach for cardiac regeneration. The goal is to design a molecular switch that allows therapeutic gene expression to be turned on and off in a safe and precise manner in human cardiac cells.
